Coast Book Fair takes place May 16-18 2025 on the campus of LIU Post in Brookville and in downtown Oyster Bay, Long Island. The Fair is open to the public and FREE to attend. Select events require paid tickets. See information below for parking, maps, and more for each day of the Fair.
The Fair takes place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, please check our Instagram and Facebook feeds for updates.
Saturday, May 17
Day-long Fair at LIU Post
Author Events
& Book Signings
Author events are the core attraction of the Fair. Seating at events is available first come, first serve. If an event you’d like to attend fills up, please check the schedule and attend an alternate session.
Authors will sign books immediately after their sessions, right outside of the event room. Books will be available for sale outside of the event room and in the official Fair Bookstore, hosted by Theodore’s Books.
Books signed at the Gold Coast Book Fair must be purchased from Theodore’s Books.
Book Sales
Theodore’s Books is the official bookseller of Gold Coast Book Fair.
On Saturday at Long Island University:
Books by featured Fair authors can be found in the Fair Bookstore inside Hillwood Commons, on the first floor. They will also be available for sale outside of each session room.
A Children’s Books Sales Tent will be in the Kids Zone on the Creative Quad, behind the Humanities building.
Bestsellers and other general interest titles will be available in a Theodore’s Books Sales Tent in the Marketplace.
On Sunday in Downtown Oyster Bay:
Books by featured Fair authors can be found in a tent outisde of Theodore’s Books at 17 Audrey Avenue.
A Children’s Books sales tent will be next to the Kids Author Tent on Audrey Avenue.
Bestsellers and other general interest, Long Island, and other titles can be found inside of Theodore’s Books, which will be open all day!
All attendees must abide by the Gold Coast Forum’s
Code of Conduct. Attendees in violation will be removed from Forum events, including the Fair.
Keynote Author
Friday, May 17
The Gold Coast Book Fair kicks off the evening of Friday, May 17 with a special ticketed event at LIU Post with this year’s Keynote Author.
The Keynote will be announced soon. Subscribe to the Forum mailing list to be the first alerted when tickets go on sale.

LIU Post is located at 720 Northern Blvd. in Brookville, NY 11548.
For directions to campus by car, train, and public transportation, please visit the LIU website.
ENTRANCE: The entrance to the Fair is through the upper level of Hillwood Commons, through the doors attached to the parking lot. Look for volunteers and balloons. Events and attractions take place on the first and second floor of Hillwood Commons; inside the Humanities Building; and on the Creative Quad.
PARKING: There is ample free parking at LIU. Signs will point you towards parking when you arrive.
FOOD: Visit one of the many food vendors for lunch! LIU’s concessions will also be available throughout the day.
LIU is an accessible campus. When entering through the upper level of Hillwood Commons, an elevator is available to the right. Follow signs. Restrooms are located inside of all buildings.
We recommend your wear comfortable shoes and hydrate!
Oyster Bay
Downtown
Sunday, May 18
Oyster Bay events take place in downtown Oyster Bay, along Audrey Avenue and in various small businesses and historic sites. There is a street fair down Audrey Avenue and authors appear in venues throughout town.
ENTRANCE: There is not one single entrance to the Fair. To orient yourself upon arrival, head for Theodore’s Books, 17 Audrey Avenue, where volunteers and booksellers can direct you to venues and attractions.
PARKING: There is ample free parking in the area, including the parking lot at the Oyster Bay LIRR station and municipal lots. It’s a short walk from the LIRR station to the Fair.
STREET CLOSURES: Please note that certain streets will be closed to accommodate the street fair. We will post details closer to the Fair.
FOOD: Visit one of the many cafes and restaurants in Oyster Bay for lunch, coffee, snacks, and drinks. Thank you for supporting local Long Island business while you’re here!
